Closing weeks

The projects are really coming along nicely. With the time frame closing in on presentation day it is great to see the kiddos starting to really produce some physical work. It is pretty fantastic to see self driven education working. Videos and pictures to come as the students start to bring their work into class.

Week 2

As the projects continue to progress I am starting to see the students interest in their projects move forward as well. Many students have very strong bases of understanding of the basic physics of their projects and are starting some sort of "construction" on their presentation piece be it an actual piece, video, or presentation board.

 I am also seeing a growth in research and problem solving abilities which I believe is a direct correlation to the students’ choice of educational topic. I am excited for the next for the next few weeks to see some real physical progression of their projects.

Week 1

Last week the physics department at Central Catholic proposed the 20% project to our students. Giving them the reigns to their education. All the classes were very interested and really took off with their projects. Not only did the students light up with excitement with the project concept but so did all the staff. With 12 more weeks left in the year it will be quite the ride to see what students produce. Stay tuned.
